Frequently Asked Questions

Caregiver Corner is built around honest connection, clear boundaries and caregiver choice. Here are answers to some of the questions you may have before reaching out.

Is there a charge?

There is no charge to caregivers or organizations for Caregiver Corner’s connection service. Some outside professionals, businesses, events or resources may have their own fees. You decide whether you want to use them.

Is Caregiver Corner a directory or referral agency?

No. Caregiver Corner is a human place to start. We listen to what you are experiencing and may share people, organizations or resources that could be worth exploring. We do not formally assess your needs or determine which provider is right for you.

Does Caregiver Corner provide care?

No. We do not provide personal care, home care, medical care, case management or transition planning. We offer information, conversation and possible connections.

How do you choose which possibilities to share?

We consider what you tell us, your location, the type of support you are seeking and what we know about available organizations, professionals and resources. We may not know every option, and anything we share is a possibility rather than a formal recommendation.

Do sponsors receive priority?

No. Sponsors may receive visibility through acknowledgements, profiles, events or approved educational content, but sponsorship does not purchase preference, endorsement or priority when we connect with caregivers.

Can you guarantee that someone will be able to help me?

No. Availability, eligibility, cost and suitability are determined by each outside organization or professional. We can help you identify a possible place to start, but we cannot guarantee services or outcomes.

Will you share my information with anyone?

We will not share your name or contact information with another person or organization without your permission. Please avoid submitting detailed medical, financial or other highly sensitive information through the website form.

What if my situation is urgent?

Caregiver Corner is not an emergency or crisis service, and requests are not monitored continuously. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. If you or someone you know is experiencing a suicide crisis, call or text 988 in Canada.

Can an organization or professional participate?

Yes. Organizations and professionals may introduce their services, contribute educational content, participate in events or discuss sponsorship. Participation and visibility do not guarantee that Caregiver Corner will suggest them to caregivers.
